We are excited to announce that MTC Training is officially launching the Certified Ethical Hacker v13 (CEHv13) course! This latest version builds on the highly successful CEHv12, incorporating the most advanced cybersecurity practices to date, particularly with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in ethical hacking. As always, MTC Training remains committed to helping businesses stay ahead of the cybersecurity curve, and through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), CEHv13 is now fully funded for Sunderland businesses.
We are also pleased to announce that our first in-centre run of the CEHv13 course will take place on the 10th of February 2025, making it an excellent opportunity for local businesses to upskill their cybersecurity teams with the latest training.
How CEHv13 Has Upgraded from CEHv12
While CEHv12 laid a strong foundation by introducing essential frameworks like the MITRE ATT&CK and Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis, CEHv13 takes ethical hacking to the next level by integrating cutting-edge AI capabilities and offering expanded coverage on key cybersecurity domains like cloud security and Internet of Things (IoT) protection.
Here’s how CEHv13 differs and improves upon CEHv12:
- AI-Driven Ethical Hacking:
- CEHv13 introduces AI-driven reconnaissance, automated threat detection, and predictive breach analysis, allowing cybersecurity professionals to leverage machine learning to identify and respond to threats faster and more accurately.
- AI in CEHv13 also enables ethical hackers to simulate more sophisticated attacks, anticipate AI-powered cyber-attacks, and develop strategies to defend against them—something that was not part of CEHv12.
- Enhanced Cloud and IoT Security:
- CEHv12 already covered cloud and IoT security, but CEHv13 goes further by expanding these modules. This includes techniques for securing cloud environments, understanding the unique risks of IoT devices, and addressing vulnerabilities that have become more prevalent as these technologies continue to grow.
- CEHv13 also covers securing AI systems, adding a new layer of security focus that acknowledges the increasing integration of AI into business processes.
- Real-World Engagement:
- CEHv13 continues with practical, hands-on learning, but the CEH Engage component has been enhanced to simulate more complex, real-world hacking scenarios using AI tools. This mock engagement, along with assessments and a global hacking competition, gives learners a deeper understanding of the threats they will face and the strategies they can employ to defend against them.
- Advanced Malware and Ransomware Analysis:
- While CEHv12 introduced concepts like malware analysis and ransomware mitigation, CEHv13 now incorporates AI-enhanced malware detection and prevention. This version teaches participants how to use AI algorithms to detect and neutralise sophisticated malware threats before they can cause damage, providing a more comprehensive approach to cybersecurity.
- Expanded Curriculum on Threat Detection:
- In CEHv13, the curriculum has been updated to include AI-powered threat detection tools that analyse vast amounts of data in real-time to identify anomalies and potential breaches. These tools can predict potential attack vectors and help ethical hackers devise proactive defence strategies, a significant leap from the manual and semi-automated methods used in CEHv12.
What’s Included in CEHv13
Our CEHv13 programme is designed to offer the most up-to-date and in-depth ethical hacking training available. It includes:
