We are thrilled to announce a significant change following the University’s recent acquisition of Access Training.
MTC Training and Access Training are officially merging to streamline operations and enhance the services we offer you. This move is aimed at strengthening partnerships and continuing to provide the highest level of support to you, our valued clients. Your loyalty and trust over the years have been instrumental to our success, and we are committed to ensuring this transition leads to even greater benefits for you.
What This Means for you: From 1st April 2025, Access Training will take responsibility for the current MTC portfolio, continuing to provide our complete range of training programmes, including IT Technical, Desktop Applications, Advanced Leadership & Management Training and Advanced Apprenticeships in Team Leader / Supervisor and Business Administration. In addition, we are excited to introduce expanded offerings in Accounting, Project Management, and Fire & Security.
The University will continue to offer Higher Education programmes, including Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, as well as higher-level studies.
A Message from Access Training: With over 40 years of experience delivering high-quality classroom-based training in the North-East, Access Training is proud of its legacy and track record of excellence. Training will continue to be delivered from the Sunderland centre at St Peters Gate, with additional facilities at our site in Gateshead. As part of our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our clients, we’ve also expanded our services to include remote delivery options.
Through our ongoing partnership with the University of Sunderland, we have the unique opportunity to grow together – creating more pathways for learners and expanding our regional impact. With outstanding feedback from learners, employers, and Ofsted, we’re confident that we can continue to build on the existing, strong relationships established with MTC and provide even more opportunities to you and your workforce.
