Recap: ‘Elevate Your Cybersecurity Defences’ Seminar

Published: 23 October 2024

On Tuesday, September 24th, the University of Sunderland’s  , in partnership with MTC Training, hosted the Elevate Your Cybersecurity Defences seminar at the David Goldman Informatics Centre. With cybersecurity being more crucial than ever, the event brought together IT professionals, industry experts, and local businesses to discuss the latest in threat detection and defence strategies.

The seminar focused on two key areas: the globally recognised Mitre ATT&CK framework and Sysmon (System Monitor), tools essential for elevating an organisation’s security posture. The seminar delved into how the Mitre ATT&CK framework helps identify, categorise, and combat adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Attendees were shown how to apply this framework to their own organisational environments, resulting in improved threat detection and incident response strategies.

We are looking forward to hosting our next event soon.
