Course Description

Confused by cloud technology? This course will help you understand various cloud terminologies, methodologies, and best practices. You’ll learn to implement, maintain, and deliver cloud technologies and infrastructures, covering IT security and industry standards related to cloud and virtualisation. By the end of the course, you’ll be prepared for the CompTIA Cloud+ certification.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course, it is recommended that participants have:

• CompTIA Network+ and/or Server+ certification (not required).
• 24-36 months of experience in IT networking, network storage, or data centre administration.
• Familiarity with hypervisor technologies for server virtualisation (vendor-specific certifications are not required).
• Knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (private, public, hybrid).
• Hands-on experience with a public cloud IaaS platform.

   • Apply security configurations and access controls.
   • Implement security technologies and automation techniques for cloud models.
3. Maintenance
   • Automate updates, backups, and restoration processes.
   • Ensure business continuity and apply patches in cloud environments.
4. Management
   • Analyse metrics for resource allocation and cloud provisioning.
   • Implement account provisioning and confirm deployment results.
5. Troubleshooting
   • Address deployment, automation, connectivity, and security issues.
   • Apply a structured troubleshooting methodology.
