HR Administrator Apprentice

Description of Duties

The HR Administration Apprentice will support the HR team in providing an efficient and streamlined service to the business with regard to all HR-related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit which includes input to all HR admin and is an important support role to the
business. Effective administrative support is vital to the smooth running of the department.

Human Resources activities:
To provide administration support for all HR matters to a high-quality standard and within agreed timescales, including but not limited to: electronic filing, purchase order & supplier processes in COUPA,
To take first line response to all phone queries and provide basic advice where appropriate.
To process letters, contracts, forms and reports in a timely manner, including new starter and leaver documentation.
To attend meetings as note taker as required and to type up any meeting notes as required.
Input and maintenance of data onto Workday ensuring that all employee records are accurate and updated.
Provide administrative support for the recruitment process from start to finish
Support people managers with basic queries on policies and processes.
Carry out inductions for new employees and dealing with reference requests and requesting references
Produce Workday reports and manipulate this data on Excel
Prepare sickness stats

Learning and Development activities:
Support with day to day administration, including record keeping and monitoring of expiry of training certificates
Create action plans for renewal of such certificates
Manage room bookings and invite to delegates for training activities
Collate course evaluations and provide stats and trends on providers
Record keeping and filing of employee records using an electronic system
Support progress trackers of apprentices on site (40 at present, numbers continue to grow).



Skills Required

4 GCSEs at grade 4 and above including Math's and English is essential
PC literate with experience of using Windows based applications e.g. Microsoft Office – Word and Excel
Excellent organisational skills.
Good communication skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work to deadlines
Communicate professionally to colleagues and students ? Maintain confidentiality
